Devotees gathered on Sunday at the Krishna Balarama Mandir in Vancouver, Canada for Kirtan (chanting and dancing), lecturing (philosophical discussion) and prasadam feasting.
Srila Prabhupada describes the act of chanting Hare Krsna as having three phases of purification. The first is the offensive stage where we may not even know the 10 offenses or even actively try to stop making them. Included in this stage is when we actually do know the list by heart, and can say it daily, but still willfully or in ignorance commit any or all of the 10 offenses.
Prabhupada anuga devotees in Los Angeles organized a preaching event at the Cedar Sinai Hospital in celebration of Lord Ramacandra’s appearance day. The event was attended by around 25 interested hospital employees and staff, according to Madhusudana Murari dasa who organized the event.
